Theft from Fort Macleod Hair Salon - Suspect caught by Police Dog

On March 3rd, 2012 at approximately 1230 in the afternoon the Fort Macleod RCMP were notified of a theft at the Hair Creations hair salon in the business area of Fort Macleod near 2nd Avenue. The suspect left on foot with a purse and an undisclosed amount of money from the till and was followed to the 300 block of 26th Street. The suspect remained hiding in the area attempting to elude police.
RCMP from Fort Macleod and Claresholm secured the area and the Police Dog Service was contacted and attended from Calgary. The police dog arrived in Fort Macleod and was quickly able to locate the suspect hiding in a storage shed behind a residence in the area. During the arrest suspect received superficial injuries from the police service dog and was treated at the Fort Macleod Hospital before being lodged at the Fort Macleod RCMP detachment.
Thirty six year old Damon Kyle Reinbold has been charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Recognizance and was remanded to appear in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on Wednesday March 7th, 2012.
