Pincher Creek's She-Nook hockey team hosted a recreational tournament at the MCC Arena on Saturday, March 17. Teams from Fernie, Sparwood, Vulcan, Canal Flats, and Calgary participated in the fun event, which ran for the whole day.
The She-nooks lost their first two games, against Fernie and Canal Flats, but ended the tournament on a high note with a win against Vulcan. Two periods of 25-minute run-time action were followed by a "shooter" shoot out at the end of each game. Spirits were high throughout despite the somewhat exhausting schedule. Laughter and good-natured competition prevailed. A lunch was served next door at the Huddlestun Centre for players and coaches.
