Former Pincher Creek Hockey Association player and referee Ashley Fitzpatrick, from Twin Butte, will be competing in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport finals this weekend in Edmonton with her women's hockey team, the University of PEI Panthers. She is a forward with the Panthers. The Panthers won the Atlantic university Sport Women's hockey title on Sunday, March 4 at Dalhousie University in Halifax.
Fitzpatrick played for the AAA Medicine Hat Hounds for two seasons and participated in the Alberta Midget AAA all star game before graduating from Vauxhall High School and being recruited by the Panthers.

The Chinooks will be hosting a Novice tournament this weekend at the MCC Arena.

The Novice 2 Chinooks defeated Kainai by a score of 11-3 on Sunday, March 4. They will play an away semi-final game against Irvine Thursday, March 8.
The Napi Oldtimers Tournament was held at the MCC Arena last weekend. Five teams participated in the fun event. The Cowboys vs Kainai game ended with Kainai on top 7-3.
