The Halton Hawks Classic third annual basketball tournament was held last weekend. 16 teams played a total of 24 games in the Matthew Halton and St. Michael's gyms over the course of the two day event.
Participating local Sr. Boys and Sr. Girls teams included the Halton Hawks, the Livingstone Sabres, and St. Michael's Dragons.
Our local teams were up against some very tough competition, and were ultimately shut out of the top spots.

The Oilfields Sr. Girls ultimately took Gold in a hotly contested match against the Erle Rivers Novas.
In the Sr. Boys competition, Ecole de la Rose Sauvage demonstrated an intensity and drive to win that rumbled straight through all opposition, including the mighty Coaldale Titans (some of those boys are TALL) in the final game. Ecole de la Rose took home the Gold by a score of 58 to 49 over the Titans. It was a great game to watch.
