Emergency Services responds to buildings on fire at local ranch

C. Davis, Pincher Creek Voice

Emergency Services responded to a call yesterday afternoon, March 16.  A shop and a storage shed on the BR7 ranch, owned by Roger Pisony, was ablaze.  The property is located near just off Highway 22 north of Highway 3.

According to Fire Chief Dave Cox, when Emergency Services arrived a shop and a storage shed were fully involved.  One of the structures contained fuel barrels which were venting flammable gas.  Firefighters contained the fire, keeping it from spreading to nearby bale piles to the west of the fire.

Responding to the fire were one engine and one tender from Pincher Creek, the Lundbreck fire truck, and an engine and a tender from Cowley.

The fire was successfully doused.  No damage-cost estimate is available at this time.
