Public Warning Regarding Vehicle used by Suspect in Shooting of RCMP Members

The RCMP investigators looking into the shooting of two Killam RCMP members earlier this week wish the public to be aware that the vehicle used by Sawyer Robison has not yet been located and it may present a danger to the public. The vehicle is described as a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, black in colour.  It may have Alberta licence plates UZE 545

This vehicle is likely to be within a 100 kms radius of Killam, Alberta but this is not certain.

Of critical importance to the general public is that the vehicle is believed to contain weapons which have also not been located.  The exact inventory of these weapons is uncertain.

The public are warned that if this vehicle is located, no one should touch it in any way, including opening doors and touching or entering the vehicle in any manner. The vehicle could be concealed in some manner such as within a seldom used or abandoned building, within trees or in a bushy area.  Property owners are asked to check their own properties to ascertain if the vehicle has been placed there without their knowledge.

Members of the public should not approach the area of the vehicle at all, and are asked to call the RCMP Tip Line at 1- 780-385-3502 or 911 immediately to report any sightings of the vehicle.
