Reader offended by Suzuki link in the Voice

Letter to the Editor

Re: Pincher Creek Voice - Weblink to that anti-Keystone, anti-Gateway, anti-Tarsands, CBC Shyster Suzuki’s website, I find offensive, in an Alberta website. I really can’t see myself recommending it.
-Peter

Editor's reply:  We provide links to a multitude of informational resources, without comment.  Readers are welcome to click on links that interest them and ignore ones that do not.  However, if we censored and removed every piece of possibly controversial material from the Pincher Creek Voice we'd be left with very little content or relevance.  It's not our mandate to make you happy, it's our chosen mandate to offer you information and links to information, which you can access as you wish.
Certainly if you have a dissenting point of view to content you read or find here, we are quite willing to publish it as well, as I have just done with your letter.  However, in general we prefer you put the effort in to explain your point of view rather than listing a few tabloid-style keywords that don't really say anything meaningful.
We feel it is important and indeed a responsibility to include as many points of view as possible.  If viewpoints that differ from your own offend you to the point where you cannot recommend this website, then this is probably not the website for you.

No problem - simply guide Peter to a pro-Keystone, pro-Gateway, pro-Tarsands, Sun Media Shyster Levant website and the Universe will return to a state of equilibrium.
