The Lakers dominated the second period as well, scoring twice before Cowboys' #17 Dan Robertson managed to slip one in. Cowboys #6 Jay Potts and Lakers #17 Kyle Sergeant were ejected from the game for a doozy of a brawl. Lomond scored once more, ending the period 10-4 for the Lakers.

All the fans asked from the Cowboys at this point was a good third period, and they delivered. They held Lomond off until the 10:17 mark, letting one in at that point, and then rallied their forces, scoring four times in the last six and a half minutes of the game, and taking the period, but not the game. Dan Bikman scored two of those goals, with Marcus Healy and Jacey French scoring one apiece.
Final score, Lakers 15, Cowboys 8

Next up for the Cowboys, an away-game against Brooks on Saturday, January 28, 8 pm. It's do or die time for the Cowboys. They need to lift themselves off the bottom of the RHL standings to make the playoffs.
