First up, the Jr. Sabres boys team was victorious over their Dragons counterparts by a score of 40-32.
Next it was time for Jr. Girls action. St. Michael's Jr. Dragons were up against Lundbreck's Jr. A Sabres. The crowd was treated to a superb game between two evenly matched teams. The score was frequently tied throughout the first three quarters, with a lot of back-and-forth play. It was really anyone's game until the fourth quarter, when the Dragons began to flag a little, not a lot, but just enough for the Sabres to pull ahead and take the game.

#14 Emily with the Dragons was one of the game's outstanding players, scoring 10 points for her team. Dragons #17 Ashley and #11 Aston scored six points apiece.
#7 Justine demonstrated some terrific hustle, but couldn't quite capitalize on it this time out, scoring twice. She's a player to watch though, improving all the time. Dragons #13 Whitney played flat-out for most of the game, but couldn't quite make those big shots in this game. With just a little more consistency she will be making a bigger dent on the scoreboard. She scored four times for the Dragons, and could easily double that performance on a good day. Overall, the Jr. Girls Dragons have been working on their team play, and are consistently strong opponents.
Over on the victorious Sabres side of the court, #12 Rebecca was a game changer for her squad, scoring an incredible 28 points. This young lady plays full out all the time, and misses very few opportunities. #2 Kaitlyn scored four times for her squad, and was relentless in her pursuit of the ball. #3 Nikki and #6 Daniela scored twice apiece. The Sabres played a short bench of six players. Each and every member of the team put in 100% throughout despite having little or no breaks from the action.
Final Score: Sabres 36, Dragons 28
