Trees of Hope Tops $7,000 to Date

Pincher Creek Credit Union has once again demonstrated its community support with a $3,500 donation to Windy Slopes Health Foundation’s Trees of Hope campaign. With donations from the general public the 2011 campaign now stands at over $7,000 raised.

“We’re extremely grateful to Pincher Creek Credit Union for this wonderful gift,” said Foundation Chairman Sandy Breckenridge. “They are there for the Foundation every year and have come through for us again in 2011.”

Trees of Hope has been a part of the Christmas season in Pincher Creek for 21 years, first through the Hospital Auxiliary and now through the Foundation. Everyone is invited to make a donation to remember a loved one or send Seasons Greetings to friends and family. Memorials and Seasons Greetings are added to a special decoration and hung on the Christmas tree in the Admitting Area at Pincher Creek Health Centre.

Over the years, the Trees of Hope campaign has enhanced Palliative Care, Emergency, Surgical, Acute Care, Physiotherapy and other departments within Pincher Creek Health Centre.  “We have had donations by mail using our flyers but lots of folks prefer to drop by and make their donation in person,” Breckenridge said. “We appreciate every gift received, no matter the size. Every single dollar is used to enhance services locally.”
