Saturday, December 10, morning: Hawks vs Piikani
The Junior A Boys Halton Hawks met the Piikani School boys early in the morning Saturday for what proved to be a challenging game. The score was close throughout the very physical game, both teams leading for equal time on the clock. Scoring was equal through all of the first three quarters, with key plays from Piikani’s #22 Fred, and #15 Michael. Halton’s Jack Dietze, in foul trouble early, fouled out early in the third quarter, after 13 points, with Piikani’s #22 following soon after. Halton went into the third quarter in the lead, but couldn’t hold on to it to the end. Final result: Piikani 53 Halton 51.
Saturday, December 10, afternoon: Hawks vs F.P. Walshe
Saturday afternoon saw Halton’s Junior A Hawks meet FP Walshe’s boys in Brocket. Walshe jumped to an early lead, and Halton couldn’t find the steam to catch up. Solid play from Justin Albert, despite an earlier rolled ankle, and from Sam Gerrand, Joey Jackson and Marcel Levecque saw the Hawks end with 21 points, not enough to beat Walshe’s 33.
The next game for the Junior A Boys Halton Hawks will held during the first week of January.
