Canyon Elementary School held their annual "Holiday Wishes" concerts on Wednesday, December 21, with one performance in the morning and one in the afternoon. The gymnasium was packed with parents, relatives, and friends. Principal Carole Goodreau and Student Council's Emma Dietze opened the celebration, which was followed by a "Concert Etiquette Rap". The Preschool sang two songs, as did the Canyon Choir. Then the Grade 6 class performed a rousing version of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." After that every grade level performed select pieces from the Christmas repertoire for the audience, with everyone joining in on the grand finale, "Felize Navidad". A wonderful time was had by all, and the concert was a great way to begin the Christmas break.
