Halloween was quite a sight to see at an in-house dress up supper party at Whispering Winds. One table was full of witches, including Evelyn, Leny, Connie, and Dawn. Verdun Buchanan took first prize for the Ladies with her Raggedy-Ann getup and Dave Claypool took first for the men with a Pirate costume. Dave had quite a time keeping his moustache in place, as he kept trying to eat it, and his rooster was making a lot of noise till he wrung its' neck, or maybe set the alarm button to "off". Joyce had a pirate costume, along with Andress as a Devil Leprechaun and Edith as a Ghoul. All in all everyone had a good time. Thank you to management for providing the winners with Tim Horton's gift certificates.

For Remembrance Day, those who had pictures of Veterans gave them to Carolyn along with photos of themselves circa 1946, and she made a very nice display for all to enjoy, placing it in the front foyer. It will remain up until the Remembrance Day buffet on November 17, starting at 5:30 pm.

The first Bingo Challenge was held on Saturday, November 12, with a very good turnout. Some of the lucky winners were Louie, Marion, Mary, Jackie, Evelyn and Verdun. The big winner was Harold Moore from Lethbridge who won the last jackpot. If I missed anyone I do apologize. Marie Smith came in to call for us and we would like to express our gratitude and thanks for your time. The next Bingo challenge will be held on November 26 at 1 pm.

It would be a remiss on my part if I did not include a bouquet to the waiter and waitresses that set the tables and serve our meals to us each and every day. They are indeed a wonderful and courteous group that place the residents first with a smile and a kind word. I cannot leave out the two great chefs that cook the meals for us with enthusiasm and great delight. Thank you all so much.

Until next time have a great week!
