The exercise program is up and running and will be placed on the agenda in November. If any of the seniors are interested please join us in the coffee lounge at 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. It is a “Sit to Be Fit” program with a twist.
The Lions clubs from Pincher Creek, Cowley/Lundbreck and visiting clubs were Whispering Winds guests Thursday evening. They enjoyed a tour of the facility before their meeting began, followed by coffee and tasty tidbits from the kitchen. Management extends a warm thank you to the Lions for all the hard work and donations made within the community’s over the years.
The “Clippity-Do-Dah-Salon’ is now open for business, in house, each Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Jocelyne Sheen is the owner/ stylist with years of experience and knowledge of the hair industry. Doing double-duty at Whispering Winds keeps Jocelyne “out of trouble”, or maybe opens the door to more mischief, as she also is a very caring and capable server of the tables. We at the village wish you well and love you lots for all you do for us.
Upcoming events:
- Buffets: Remembrance Day, November 17; Christmas, December 20; New Year’s, December 31.
- Bingo will be scheduled on the November calendar.
- Don’t forget to dress up for the Halloween supper on October 31, prizes for best Lady and best Man.
- On November 17 pictures of those that Served along with your own picture as of 1946 will be on display at Whispering Winds.
The flu season will be upon us soon and the Pincher Creek Health unit is holding flu shot days in the community. If you are interested make sure you get down to one of these special days to get your shot. Click here for clinic information
Until next time have a great week!
