It was all good fun, and the boys even played an extra round just because they could.
The young Hawks Coach, Andrew Janzen noted that "our boys have improved their serve."
Redskins Coach Barnaby Provost felt a little differently about his team , remarking that "we need to improve on serves, and we really need to improve on focus."

St. Michael's Dragons vs Lundbreck Sabres
Just my luck, after giving the Jr. A Dragons Girls a bit of a drubbing here earlier this week for a lacklustre game against Piikani, circumstances caused me to miss much of their matchup tonight against their Livingstone Sabres counterparts. A shame for me personally, because what I did see today demonstrated a vastly different team, even though it was made up of the same players. They put the volley back into their game, and it put them at the top of the scoreboard twice out of three matches. The Livingstone Sabres were a treat to watch as well, a tightly knit and energized group that gave the Dragons a run for it, and finishing the evening on a high note with a 13-15 win over the Dragons.
Jr. A Girls scores
- 25-17 Dragons
- 25-21 Dragons
- 13-15 Sabres
In Junior A Boys action, the Sabres demonstrated a slight edge over the Dragons, dominating the first game by all accounts, before the Dragons regrouped to give them a real challenge in the last two games. In the end, the Sabres took the evening two games to one, with the final two games being close enough throughout to generate some real excitement in the crowd and on the court.
Jr. A Boys scores
- 14-25 Sabres
- 22-25 Sabres
- 26-24 Dragons
