On an average day, one has to go pretty far afield to find protesters in the Pincher Creek area.  So we did.  Local farmer Fran Cyr was glad to lend his voice to the groundswell of local dissent.  "I'm one of the 99% that doesn't protest," said Cyr.

Cyr has long been a whole-milk advocate, and was therefore willing to break a lifetime of silence on the subject, waving his "No 1%" sign proudly.  He persisted despite several "moos" from the crowd.  His wife Colleen, of Bloomin' Inn Ranch fame, was glad to oblige the press junket that appeared on her doorstep.  "It's about time somebody protested something around here," she said.

Protest activity in Cowley was somewhat more subdued. In a time-honoured news-source tradition, the Voice staged a photo-op so Cowley wouldn't feel left out. The protest at Pincher Creek town hall was disorganized, but it was a nice day anyway.
