Well football fans, the first annual Pincher Creek Mustangs PeeWee Football Jamboree has come and gone, and by all accounts it was a huge success. The hometown Mustangs were joined by the Claresholm Raiders, the Coaldale Bears, and the Raymond Comets on Saturday, September 10, 2011.

The day kicked off with long time friends and rivals facing each other, as the Mustangs took on Claresholm. These two teams always have a fair but hotly contested game and this was no exception. The teams exchanged touchdowns for the first 2 possessions until Claresholm made the stop and then scored a touchdown of their own, taking the lead. This lead would hold until the end of the game.

The next game saw Raymond take on the Coaldale Bears. The Bears were no match for the well balanced machine from Raymond that seemed to score at will.
Following that Clareshom took on the Raymond Comets. These two great programs put on a good show for the fans, with Raymond shutting out the Claresholm offense while scoring a couple of touchdowns on long gains.

The next game saw the Mustangs take on the Bears. Again the outside run seemed too much for the Bears to handle, with the Mustangs outscoring the Bears 3 touchdowns to 1.

The Mustangs followed that performance by taking on the Raymond Comets. These two teams appeared more evenly matched then previous years, with the game going back and forth and neither team really taking any advantage until halfway through the second half, when Raymond made a long run for the touchdown, taking a 2 - 1 lead. The Mustangs mounted a rally, marching the ball down the field only to have the clock run out with the Mustangs on the Raymond 15 yard line. Close but no cigar for the Mustangs.

The last game of the Jamboree saw the Bears take on the Raiders. The Bears put up a glant fight but they just came up short, falling to the Raiders.

At the end of the day Raymond went undefeated, Claresholm ended 2 - 1, Pincher Creek was 1 - 2 and Coaldale was 0 - 3. The day provided lots of fun for the players and coaches and lots of great entertaining football for the many fans that showed up to watch.

The fair play displayed by all the teams showed the focus of these 4 great football programs.
Special thanks go out to President of the Mustang Football Club Faith Zachar, Ryan Halcrow for providing music and play-by-play, all the Mustang parents for pitching in wherever required, and to the teams for making the event a success.
