Peewee Mustangs get schooled by Claresholm Raiders

Well,  football fans. Saturday was a learning day for the Peewee Mustangs as they were schooled by a familiar foe, the Claresholm Raiders. The Mustangs got a lesson on how important it is to have 12 players working towards one goal, and how if one player does not do their job the ball ends up in the wrong end zone.

Not all the news was bad for the Mustangs, with a few players showing the heart required to perform on the field. Thane Buckingham showed it time and time again with big runs in heavy traffic and big tackles on defense. Riley Sokownin was playing hurt and still making big plays. Austin Bruder made the big blocks on offense while making massive tackles on the line when on defense. Kiy-anna Courchesne and Jordan Hockstein limited the Raiders offense to only running to the left and run they did.
The Mustangs could not seem to come up with an answer to the run to the left, and the Raiders took full advantage, seemily scoring at will on that side. The Raiders won the game with too many touchdowns to count compared to one by the Mustangs. Jordan Hochstein scored the one mustang tally on one of his many long runs.
With any luck, the lessons learned on Saturday will lead to more success in the future for the Mustang heroes.
This is coach Tom Signing out until next week, when the Mustangs will travel to Cardston for the Cardston Jamboree. Until then remember, everyday is a great day for football.
