Well, this is just dandy, isn't it? Perhaps the truant Honourable Member might find the time now to shoot some gophers or some such and actually do something useful for the wee folk who sent him off to the distant Land of La La La.
Though yet, how surprised might we be to hear this very, very, very humble gentleman called back for duty in the Red Chamber following a suitable time-out? There are likely some impending vacancies owing to the departure of one or two felons. Or maybe he'll just be amply pensioned out to an endless parade of glad-handing photo-ops. Greasy wheels within greasy wheels - you can trust these well-fed Tories about as far as you can toss their broad behinds. Heads they win - tails we lose. You'd think people would get tired of being played for fools.
