The event was all about community. The arena was packed with area hockey fans for the on-ice skills contest and for the various games that were played over the course of the weekend. The Senior Huskies did a great job as hosts, and each level of hockey acted as mentor and inspiration for the levels below them. Senior Huskies inspired Midget Huskies who inspired Bantam Chinooks who inspired Atom Chinooks...
It was, in short, a day most participants will never forget.

Local singer Alyssa Barbero performed 'O Canada' to open the final regular season game for the Senior Huskies, who hosted the Fort Macleod Mustangs. Click here for that story and upcoming RHL playoff information.
During the intermission between the first and second periods a couple of sleds came out. A member of each team gamely took a seat, fellow teammates grabbed the ropes attached to the sled and off they went, racing each other to the inevitable crash-and-burn conclusions.
