The 2014 Heritage Acres Fall Fair was perhaps best appreciated with a hitch, the kind that attaches the new open air bus to the ancient tractor.

From the deck of the bus the panoramas were endless in several directions. At other stops there were dog trials and a demonstration of old fashioned grain harvesting. Hands-on at every turn, if one so desired. These are folks that work hard and with care to preserve and restore the past, if only within the huge confines of Heritage Acres. They like meeting interested young folk, passing it on freely and with lifetimes of experience.  That spirit was evident throughout the day.  Yours truly sang "Closer to the Heart" and multiple other ditties.  Thanks for a wonderful time, Heritage Acres.
