- 43 Were talking on their cell while driving
- 4 Were texting while driving
- 1 Was using a portable electronic (MP3, GPS, Camera)
- 0 Were using a Digital Screen (DVD, TV, Laptop)*
- 22 Were two handed eating while driving
- 2 Were reading while driving
- 9 Had an animal sitting on their lap
- 3 Were grooming themselves (combing hair while looking in rear-view mirror)
- 10 Were drinking pop, slurpies, coffee. One was looking at/talking to passenger while driving through the intersection

Where is law enforcement in this town? If COP's can do this why can't our highly paid Peace Officer/s?

ReplyDeleteThe community is SOOOOO much safer now.
I think less than 2% of people is pretty minor and am surprised how low the number was.
Maybe there next task can be figuring out why people drive 20 - 30 KMH down main street? It is not a playground zone!!!
The Alberta Citizens on Patrol Assoc. has joined forces with the Alberta Motor Association recently. One of the mandates they asked of the C.O.P. groups across Alberta was to do a Distracted Driving Blitz for "statistics" only.
