Red Rock Parkway to stay open later this fall

Spring flooding forced the closure of the Akamina Parkway this past June. Work to repair the flood damage has been ongoing since June 30th and is scheduled for completion at the end of November. Full details of the damage and repair work can be found at www.pc.gc.ca/waterton.

Parks Canada will ensure that visitors have options to enjoy in Waterton Lakes this fall by keeping Red Rock Parkway open past October 31. For fall of 2013 only, Red Rock Parkway will remain open either until the Akamina Parkway reopens or until the first major snowfall of the season.

Cyclists are welcome to ride the Red Rock Parkway as usual, but should be prepared to encounter some traffic.
