Pincher Creek's Bantam Chinooks hosted the Lethbridge 1 Hellhounds on Saturday afternoon, November 10.

The Chinooks blew across the ice to an early goal at the 17:39 mark by #14 Bryce Conley, assisted by #9 Nic Jordan. Lethbridge proved to be a solid competitive team, having some success keeping the play in the Chinook's end, making multiple goal attempts.  Chinooks goalie #30 Matthew Duncan put in some overtime, with more than a little help from his defencemen.  The period ended with the Chinooks still up 1-0.

The Chinooks dominated the second period, scoring 3 shorthanded goals early on.  Nic Jordan scored, assisted by #28 Collin Lincez.  Then #15 Sam Gerrand scored, assisted by #19 Ethan Richards.  At the 12:20 mark #2 Chaz Vance scored unassisted, and the period closed with the Chinooks up 4-0.

It was still a lively game going into the third.  Lethbridge worked hard to make up for lost ground, to no avail against the Chinooks' defence.  Likewise, goaltending was sharp in the Hellhounds end, even when the Chinooks upped the shots on net ratio significantly.  At the 9:43 mark #11 Jessen Luco scored unassisted. Then Lethbridge managed to sneak one over the line to avoid a shutout at the 9:25 mark.

At the final buzzer it was 5-2 for the Chinooks.

The Bantam Chinooks have now won 5 straight in the regular season, no losses, and are vying for first place in the Spud League with Coaldale.

Coaldale has played six games with one loss, and that was last week when the Chinooks beat them 6-4.

    1. I assume that's a correction, but I'm not sure what you're referring to.
