Pincher Creek's Atom Chinooks team dominated the scoreboard in their Saturday afternoon, December 3 home-game against the Raymond Ice.

Chinooks' #12 Josh Conley racked up two goals in the first period.  #9 Trinity Tanner also scored in the first period, assisted by Cameron Little, with the Chinooks ending the period up 3-0 over Raymond.

The Ice scored early in the second, a nice breakaway goal by Jace Salmon, which was answered later in the period by another fine Josh Conley corker for the Chinooks.

Chinooks' #3 Jesse Hall scored early in the second, with an assist from Josh Conley.  Raymond #3 Chase Heggie riposted with one of his own, and that was all she wrote.

Chinooks goalie Carl Tetachuk was one of the deciding factors in the game, providing solid net-minding skills under great pressure.  These two teams aren't so far apart, the Ice demonstrated a strong offence, and Tetachuk's goaltending made a big difference in the final outcome, 5-3 for the Chinooks.

Atom Tournament next weekend

Pincher Creek's MCC Arena will be the site of an Atom tournament next weekend.  It kicks off Friday evening, December 9, at 8 pm, runs Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm, and finishes up on Sunday, December 11, starting at 8 am.  Come out and support our young athletes.  The concession folks will keep you fed and watered, and it's going to be a great event.
