To have three sibling playing on the same team in high school is rare, and rarer still at the college level.  Lethbridge College's Kodiaks Women's basketball team had three of the Lowry sisters from Lundbreck playing for them this season. Katheryne has been on the team the longest, followed by Elizabeth and then Emma.

"This is Emma's second year in the ACAC (Alberta College Athletic Conference), first year with the Kodiaks," said Elizabeth Lowry, who acted as the siblings' spokesperson. This is the first time these three sisters have all played on a team together. "Katheryne and I attended St. Michael's, Then Katheryn went into LCI in Lethbridge for grade 12. Emma went to St. Michael's and Livingstone. It just worked out differently for which school we were going to. It's been good. We had a really good season. We went into the final tournament ranked third, ended up at fourth. It was a good season, good games. We didn't make it to Nationals, so basketball is over for the season. Katheryne, this was her last season to play, she has played her five years of eligibility."

The three girls were in town lending their support to their younger siblings James and Rebecca, who were playing for St. Michael's in the Senior High Post season tournament on March 7 and 8. "We have Zones, and the Provincial tournament for the boys and girls for James and Rebecca, if they make it. Then, it's just finishing up the school year."

This is the only year that these three women will be playing together, as Katheryn is graduating this year. Emma is taking general studies.  Elizabeth and Katheryne are taking the office administration program.
