Athlete of the Day September 4, 2013: Robyn Lively

Pincher Creek's Robyn Lively was awarded the prestigious Altie Rutledge Memorial Trophy at the 2013 Pincher Creek High School Rodeo, held last weekend.  The trophy is awarded to the local High Point winner in honour of local cowboy Altie Rutledge, who passed away in 1972.

Robyn placed 4th in Girls Cutting on Saturday August 31 with a time of 65.0 for 7 points.  She had a Cutting time of 71.0 on Sunday September 1, which was enough to have her tie for first that day for 9.5 points.  She place first in Pole Bending on Sunday in front of an enthused hometown crowd with a time of 20.327 for 10 points.

Robyn participated in the Southwest Barrel Racing series held in Pincher Creek and Hillspring over the course of the summer  as well.

Robyn is a member of the Silver Reins 4-H Horse Club and is in grade 10 at Matthew Halton High School.
