Crowsnest Pass Armed Robbery suspect apprehended

On July 1, 2013 at approximately 1700 hrs, Crowsnest Pass RCMP received a complaint of a Robbery at the local business known as the Cinnamon Bear Cafe, on Highway #3, in Coleman, Alberta . A lone masked male subject entered the business and demanded cash from the employee at the till. Once the subject had the cash he then exited the business, knocking a female to the floor. 

 No injuries were substainted by employees and or public during the robbery. The subject took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled south on foot into the residential area of Coleman.

Crowsnest Pass Detachment members assisted by Piikani Detachment and Pincher Creek Detachments investigated the occurrence and as a result a 20 year old local male subject was arrested and will be charged with a number of offences under the Criminal Code, which include Committing an offence while wearing a disguise, and Robbery with violence, Possession of weapon dangerous to public peace. The investigation is continuing and court date has not be set at this time.

The suspect's name will not be released until charges are sworn.
