A little rain didn't deter tryouts for the Chinook West AA Majors All Stars team yesterday evening at Lions Park in Pincher Creek, with Chinook West President Chris Dixon putting the kids through their paces.

"They're going to play in a tournament in Lethbridge I believe the 19th of July," explained Pincher Creek Minor Baseball boss Carrah Pinder-Walter.  "Then they'll play in the Prairies in Lethbridge during August Long weekend."

"There will be lots of ball going on that weekend.  The Junior Canadians will be just ending, and then they'll have Junior AA Prairies and Major AA Prairies going on in Lethbridge the same weekend."
