Calgary Police Service: High-Risk Offender released

Preys on children: Cameron Leslie Nicholson
In the interest of public safety, the Calgary Police Service is issuing the following public information and warning in regards to the release of an inmate.

Cameron Leslie Nicholson, 55, was released into the Calgary area, Tuesday, July 9, 2013, after having served a six year federal prison sentence. Nicholson has a history of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching against female children. He will now be monitored by the Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program on a Section 810.1 C.C. Peace Bond.


Nicholson has a history of committing offences in the Alberta communities of Edmonton and Grand Prairie.

Nicholson is described as Caucasian, 6’5” tall, approximately 250 lbs. with grey hair, brown eyes and a fair complexion.

The Calgary Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the release of Nicholson.

Members of the public are advised that the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.
