Reserve a campsite for May long weekend starting February 19
Albertans and visitors can reserve a campsite at one of 63 provincial campgrounds for the May long weekend starting at 9 am on Tuesday, February 19.
Reservations can be made online at www.Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca or by calling 1-877-537-2757.
“Albertans and visitors love to explore our beautiful provincial parks. Our campsite reservation service is a convenient way to plan a trip – either to a favourite campground or one discovered by browsing online,” said Christine Cusanelli, Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation. “Booking on our website also allows you to see the size and features of your particular site – so you know what to expect when you set up camp.”
The Alberta Parks reservation service allows campers to book individual sites up to 90 days in advance. This service has been expanded for the 2013 camping season to include four more campgrounds.
The expanded service also includes all 147 provincial group camping areas. Reservations for these group sites begin on Monday, February 11, and bookings can be made for the entire summer.
Any cancellations or changes made to an individual or group camping reservation must be made at least 72 hours in advance. To learn more about how to book a site, applicable fees, rules and regulations, please visit www.Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca.
Although thousands of campers use the reservation service each year, Alberta Parks is committed to offering a range of options for visitors. Alberta’s provincial parks continue to offer first-come first-served only campsites at more than 170 provincial campgrounds. A list of these campgrounds is available at www.AlbertaParks.ca
