The final games of the regular Ranchland Hockey League season were concluded on Saturday, February 9.

The Lomond Lakers defeated the Nanton Palominos 8-4 at the Nanton rink.  Cam Hurt scored 4 goals for the Lakers and Brandon Egger got a hat-trick for Nanton. The Fort Macleod Mustangs defeated Pincher Creek 5-3 at the MCC arena in Pincher Creek.

January RHL Players of the Month went to Josh Weist of Lomond and goaltender Mike Kraneveldt from Nanton.

The Nanton Palominos won the 2012/13 regular season title.

The big story of the weekend was Hockey Day in Canada.  Nanton and Pincher Creek represented the RHL in their hometowns with tons of great events for the younger players.  We'll post a full report about the Pincher Creek events shortly.

Fort Macleod faces Lomond and Pincher Creek faces Nanton for two best-of-7 series to decide who will play in the final championship games. Stay tuned for dates/times/locations.
